Help with Sonify.

Most problems come down to the network or to one setting in the Sonos app. Start here, and write if it doesn’t help.

When you write, it helps to mention your iPhone or iPad model, your iOS version and which Sonos speakers you have.

Sonify can’t find my system

  • Make sure your iPhone or iPad is on the same Wi-Fi network as your speakers.
  • In iOS Settings, open Sonify and check that Local Network is switched on.
  • Sonify works with Sonos S2 systems. S1 systems aren’t supported.

Sonify says “Access Denied”

Open the Sonos app, tap your profile, then Privacy & Security, and make sure Authentication is turned off. Then close and reopen Sonify.

A music service says its access has expired

Sonify uses the music services set up on your Sonos system. Reauthorise the service in the Sonos app, then reopen Sonify.

The queue is empty

The queue page manages music that was started from Sonify. If something was started from another app, start it again from Sonify to manage its queue.

An NFC tag does nothing

  • NFC tags need an iPhone. Hold the top of the phone close to the tag, then tap the notification that appears.
  • A scene’s tag only works on the iPhone the scene was created on.
  • A music tag needs its music service to be on your Sonos system.
  • To choose where tags play when they don’t name a room, set NFC Default Room in Sonify’s settings.

Widgets show “Open Sonify to connect”

Open Sonify once so it can connect to your system. The widgets update from the app.
